Who Am I?
My name is Maggie. I am a Maths private teacher.
I’m a qualified, experienced and successful teacher, who’s been teaching for 20 years in secondary and FE educational sectors.
During that time I have had the pleasure of working with both secondary school pupils and post sixteen students.
So I want you to know you are in safe hands!
Why I decided to get into teaching…
Reason #1
I get great pleasure in helping students achieve their goals and aspirations.
Reason #2
Young people our future and we must equip them for the future ahead ”GCSE maths will help you earn more…. ‘Individuals who achieve five or more good GCSEs (including English and mathematics) as their highest qualification have a lifetime productivity gain worth around £100,000 compared to those with below level 2 or no qualifications.’’ IMA (Institute of Mathematics and its Applications), 2018.
Reason #3
It takes a village to raise a child, A well rounded child, requires, as many people as possible rooting for the child. Being a teacher, is a noble way of doing that. Now over the years I started to notice a trend. The students I worked with, tended to focus on 3 key things and managed to do better than those students who didn’t focus on these 3 keys extensions.
- Learners begin to form chains of reasoning through use of connecting thoughts and ideas.
- Producing varied ways of solving a problem, Leaners demonstrate concrete understanding.
- Helping learners to appreciate key Mathematical facts.
I help GCSE Maths and FS Maths students to learn and pass their GCSE or FS Maths exams by applying Maths Mastery techniques.
What you are about to discover has come from 20 years of teacher experience. I am going to share with you the 3 keys to help your child achieve at either at GCSE Maths or Functional Skills Maths, that have already worked for hundreds of students I have had the pleasure of teaching.
You see, we live in a ‘new world’, where our students need more than just going to school and their classroom teacher in order to thrive in education.
The Covid-19 pandemic created a learning gap that we are still playing catch-up on. As a result, more students are falling further and further behind because all the burden has been placed on their school and teacher to bring millions of students up to speed.
Talk about mission impossible!
Yet, with the world evolving and future jobs and careers becoming more competitive than ever; the education of our children matters! Their whole life depends on it, which is why it’s never been more important to set them up for success, than ever before.
